Award-winning design: jointed glider "Expander"

The "Expander", a newly developed premium component from Wagner's QuickClick system, is "WINNER" of the "German Design Award 2025". The jointed glider innovation from the German brand manufacturer impresses with its flexible design and sophisticated technical details. This makes the "Expander" a real problem solver for furniture manufacturers.

In contrast to conventional, rigid articulated glider spigots, which can only be used for one internal pipe dimension, the "Expander" adapts flexibly to internal pipe diameters of 12-14 mm and bridges all intermediate dimensions steplessly.  The awarded glider consists of two parts: A universal slat, which is placed in the pipe and expands inside, and an articulated glider head for the best gliding properties on all soft / robust surfaces. For all other floor coverings, the versatile articulated glide solution is supplemented with compatible glide attachments that can be replaced at any time.

The "Expander" is also aesthetically pleasing, as by relocating the joint to the inside of the tube, the new development is only minimally bulky with its full range of functions and can be integrated into contemporary furniture design without dominating the look.
