Shower of accolades for Wagner!
Wagner received five of the top-class awards at the "German Design Award 2021" for four product innovations. The universally applicable hygienic door opener "EH 2240" convinced the jury in two categories at once and was therefore awarded "Winner" twice! The three other new developments of the brand manufacturer from Lahr/Black Forest were awarded the jury's special prize, the "Special Mention". This honour goes to new developments that convince through their high innovative strength. The honoured products are the "PIEDI Equalizer 2.0", a premium component for dynamic sitting, an innovative gliding solution from the QuickClick system and the smart design doorstop "EH 69".
The hygienic door opener "EH 2240", two-time winner in the categories "Universal Design" and "Medical, Rehabilitation & Health Care", can be used universally, e.g. in hospitals, surgeries, offices, factories, public authorities, hotels, restaurants and private households. Thanks to its contact-avoiding operation when opening a door, it protects against dangerous pathogens and thus offers optimum hygiene support. The innovative lever handle aid scores with convincing multiple benefits: permanently germicidal material properties, user-friendly design, easy installation and additional function as a door buffer.
The "PIEDI Equalizer 2.0" from Wagner's QuickClick system was specially developed for ergonomic, dynamic sitting and starts at the base of the chair: seating furniture equipped with the dynamic component actively follows the movements of the seated person, because an integrated special suspension adapts to the movements of the user in every direction. The effect: The "PIEDI Equalizer 2.0" prevents incorrect posture, tension or back pain.
Another innovation from the QuickClick system is also among the prize winners, namely the first floor-saving and noise-reducing furniture glide for nailing with exchangeable inserts. The principle: a base part is quickly and easily attached to the furniture with a nail; compatible inserts for any type of flooring are clicked on. They prevent damage to the floor covering and ensure smooth gliding and pleasant room acoustics. Particularly maintenance-friendly: the inserts can be replaced in seconds without the need for renewed nailing.
The "EH 69" design doorstop, which also won the "German Design Award 2021", is a real all-rounder: round like a small discus, elastic and technically cleverly designed, the doorstop can be screwed in under any door gap. Thanks to its rising clamping surface, it fits perfectly into the gap height between floor and door. In addition, the doorstop innovation can also be clamped over door and window handles as a buffer or used for height compensation under furniture.
