Wagner: Twice on the Design Award shortlist!

The "German Design Council" design awards recognise unique, outstanding design and innovative ideas. Two design innovations from Wagner are contenders for the "German Design Award 2025". They could hardly be more different in terms of form and function – and yet they have significant similarities in terms of user-friendliness, flexibility and functionality.

One of the nominees for this high-calibre award is the individually adjustable premium plant trolley "GH 0816/21", which is available in two sizes with an identical design. Both versions can easily move heavy planters weighing up to 200 kg and 150 kg respectively and adapt flexibly to the dimensions of the planter. The larger model can be extended continuously from 40 x 40 cm to up to 50 x 50 cm, while the smaller version can be enlarged from 25 x 25 cm to up to 30 x 30 cm. The desired size can be fixed quickly and easily using the integrated wing screws. Made of industrial steel with a weather-resistant powder coating in matt black, the variable-size trolley is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Also, on the shortlist for the "German Design Award 2025" is the articulated glider innovation "Expander" from Wagner's QuickClick system. In contrast to conventional, rigid articulated glider spigots, which can only be used for one internal pipe dimension, the "Expander" adapts flexibly to internal pipe diameters of 12-14 mm and bridges all intermediate dimensions steplessly. Supplemented with compatible glide attachments that can be exchanged at any time, it can be used on a wide variety of floor surfaces. The "Expander" is also aesthetically pleasing; by relocating the joint to the inside of the tube, the new development is only minimally bulky and integrates into contemporary furniture design without dominating the look.
