Tyres

The choice of tyres is decisive for the castor´s running characteristics as well as for its floor-protecting quality. The rules applies: a castor with a soft, rubberized wheel (i.e., soft wheel) should be used for a hard floor (e.g., wooden floor), in order to protect the floor from scratching. A hard wheel (e.g., plastic wheel) should be utilized for using the castor over a soft floor (e.g., carpet), in order to ensure that the castor runs well.
